Stony Falls Mini Golf

Short version: fantastic course - once upon a time - in a lovely setting but with absolutely terrible up-keep. Hard to say when this was last updated...the turf is all torn up, bunches and seams added at least a stroke every hole, the lack of drainage was pretty apparent as several holes were completely filled with water and unintentional water traps filled several others, signage was spotty (it was easy to get lost from hole to hole), and the clubs themselves weren't in terrific shape (although we spent some time finding acceptable ones in the bins). The holes themselves are straightforward putt-only, some of them seemed like they once would have played better. There was at least one hole where it was evident they blocked up a two-tiered hole (pipe blocked with concrete). The setting is gorgeous -- mountains in the background along the Connecticut Valley, and while the aroma of, um, cow products were quite evident, it wasn't oppressive. The water feature running through the course was on and fun -- although not integrated at all into the course. We were left thinking, man, this must have been a GREAT course when it was new. It would be a destination course if it were maintained. But as it is, doing it once is probably our limit. Three star rating is an average of the good points (five star location and four star layout) and bad points (one star maintenance).

This place is great! $7 to play 18 holes but when I went there before you played the 18th hole you could return your ball and get a dollar back. You could pay cash or debit. The course was a bit difficult at some points, several people playing that I had to wait my turn, the view around is pretty nice, the course was nice. Plenty of free parking. There's a restaurant next door and a small zoo with different animals (ducks, turtles, cow, goats, llama, chicken, etc.), and a couple of machines for quarters to feed animals. And when I went there you could have your face painted too (don't know if that's free or not). Definitely a good place to spend some time, have fun, get out of the city for a bit, or to bring your kids.

Definitely needs a fix-up. Green either ripped, taped or wrinkled. Was expecting much better. 🫤

A little simple and kind of run down, but good price and amazing proximity to McCrays, where we always get ice cream. You get 10% off there with a golf game (on the back of score card, so it can be easy to miss).

We were here a few years ago and had a good time, but this visit shows the ownership doesn't care about their mini golf. Zero cleaning was done. I must have cleaned more then they have moving sticks and twigs off the greens. I would be embarrassed to own a mini golf with zero upkeep.

Great little place. Mini golf course needs a little work, but MY family had a lot of fun playing The petting zoo is small but nice for small kids. We will be back

Beautiful surroundings, 18 holes, 10 % off purchases after at McCrays with the score card coupon, and lots of fun with my Granddaughter ! It had been50 years since my last game, I don't think I'll wait so long next time, I want to do it again!
