All reviewsIt's a nice golf course. If you are not up for a walk on the boards this is a great option since it's off the main road. Plenty of parking on the street and lot across. A little pricey for my wallet. Nearly $30 for two people. The associate working the counter was not very friendly. Asked how many, handed us the balls and scorecard snd that was it. No instructions on which way to go. Maybe I missed a sign but still. I get it was muggy out and he was very young but a little more words would have been nice. Last time we were here was 10 years ago. Course is nice, a little basic. Very clean. Would go again with a coupon.
This course was challenging and very fun! It is about $14 a person but it is worth it, especially time with family. The staff was great and I also won a free game by getting the golf ball in the treasure chest which is cool.
The place is kind of cool looking but as for the mini golf itself I found it boring. Basic holes with little imagination. Good for little kids maybe. We had free tickets so not bad but don’t think it warrants the entry fee
This is a nice golf course located way off the boardwalk. This has pros and cons. The pros would be you probably won't have to hunt too hard for a parking spot in the summer. The cons is the price is about 2x or higher than what you would pay on the boardwalk. The water and pirate themes were nice and the location was well maintained. Overall we had fun! If you want to enjoy the boardwalk and beach, you may consider a boardwalk course. We just wanted mini-golf so we picked here and were not disappointed.
This is a very interesting golf course with creative holes, great designs, well maintained greens, and a pleasant atmosphere. There’s a high level of attention to dealt with waterfalls, a fake pirate ship, pirate jail, pirate music, and plenty of props. The course can be challenging, but the greens are level and there’s not many “rip off” shots. Though the prices are a bit high, this is still a fun and enjoyable experience for people of all ages and I recommending golfing here.
As someone who’s visited many mini golf courses, I found this to be a bit lacking, especially for $15 a person. Multiple holes were basically just ovals with slight elevation changes. A few holes had some more action, but even the par tells the story: almost all holes are 2s because there’s not many obstacles or challenges. Considering it’s off the boardwalk, I would’ve expected more investment in the space. The staff working there were all friendly.
A rare standalone single 18 hole Mini golf course off the boardwalk, Pirate Island Golf promises a quality adventure themed mini golf experience. Prices are slightly more than those along the boardwalk, but worth it considering every inch of this park is thoughtfully designed, including theme music. As with any pirate theme, you’ll find a pirate ship, waterfalls, rope bridges, fake palm trees and sculpted rock. Its all aesthetically pleasing if not a bit unoriginal. the greens were in near perfect shape and the holes were interesting and challenging. Overall, it’s a great quality place to play a game, but not uniquely memorable in a sea of pirate themed courses.
Honestly it's a very nice 18 hole mini golf course (probably the nicest outdoor one I've been to) BUT... the price is astronomical at $12.95 a person. If you just want to go out for a fun game I would recommend the boardwalk.
