Mammoth Green Driving Range and 18 Hole Mini Golf

Hit some golf balls here while visiting in the area. Big pro is there is a roof which was perfect for a rainy day. Balls were ok for range balls. They also have some old cars and trampolines as targets. Cons are it’s all mats, no grass. Staff was friendly.

This place sucks. First, the parking lot.... I've seen landfills cleaner and more organized. Same with the deck. It looks like a flea market for a hobo convention. I got there at 2pm on a Friday. One of the first nice days NE has had this season. I haven't swung a club in over 6 years due to a chronic pain issue (I'm a veteran). I was really looking forward to hitting some balls, but no one was steering the ship. I waited for 20 minutes to buy a bucket of balls and maybe get a loner 7 iron. All I got was crickets. Even the guy ahead of me was frustrated and just picked up a bucket and went out to the range without paying 🤷🏼‍♂️. It sucks because it's super close to my house. The next range is 30 mins away 0/10

Unless you’re coming here to take a lesson with Matt Thompson, do not come here for general range practice. I tell other people at work within our golf circle to go elsewhere because the value proposition is not even close to existing. There are competitors that offer cheaper buckets with a higher quality facility. Max’s in Tyngsborough is a great example. The people that work here don’t give an f about the people that come here. They can be straight up rude, close early before the advertised time, or say out of pocket stuff at the counter thinking they’re funny. I was sitting in the parking lot for 10 minutes too long past close, god forbid 15, and a lady came up, knocked on my window and went “yea so we actually are closed. You can’t just park here” with a very condescending attitude. I bit my tongue and chose not to go to bat about them touching my vehicle, but you can proceed with that however you wish. People are well within their right to not have someone on their property if they so choose, but functionally speaking, you wouldn’t expect anyone to challenge you and be rude about it 10 minutes after close especially when I wasn’t bothering anyone. Anyone with common sense would see this as a red flag and not want to do business with them. It’s a tough game out there if you don’t treat people right. Facts are facts. I’m not sure if they’re learning that lesson or not yet. Idk what the finances look like. But… From the outside… the image is that it’s just another small business owner that’s gotten washed up and doesn’t care about it anymore. Just going through the motions and pretending they like it. It would be one thing if golfing there was in high demand, i.e. competitively priced to other ranges and they actually had any amount of leverage over their customers. But they don’t, and they appear to hold a level of arrogance suggesting they do have that leverage. Idk. I would go elsewhere if I were you. Save yourself $8 per large bucket by going to Max’s. Better range. You’ll actually meet nice people there, make connections, etc. I don’t agree with impulsive, emotion based reviews. Come here if you have to for the lessons, but understand that there’s more than 1 location for AGL lessons. Hope this helps.

Update - 2023 New season, new golf balls! Mammoth replaced their inventory with brand new TaylorMade range balls! They are beautiful, and it makes a difference. I give credit where it’s due, the owners took action the feedback and I appreciate that. They won me over, and I plan on hitting at of MGD all season. See you there! ⛳️ Update - 2022 Can no longer recommend this range, the price for a bucket is now $14 and both the balls (many with no dimples, cracked, water logged) and mats are in atrocious shape (worn, warped, and lacking proper tees) Head to the range at Pete's Scoop or Golf World! Original 2019 I stopped by here for the first time to hit a bucket after work. I was pretty happy with the facility, the mats are in great shape, you’re covered and siloed. There was plenty of open bays for a Friday evening. The woman at the counter was very welcoming, too. I got a large which probably held roughly 75-100 balls for $10, that’s a decent value. In Boston a jumbo buck was going for $12 for ~120 + a top off for comparison. They offer prepaid cards, if you are local you can save some money this way. Definitely worth a look!

So I liked coming to this range at first, it was quiet and had a good amount of spots to hit from. Staff is friendly and never had a bad experience in that respect. But, they really need to invest some money back into the place if they’re charging 20$ for a bucket. -I totally get it’s a driving range but the quality of the balls is pretty rough. Nobody’s expecting a bucket of pro v1s but I had a large number of my bucket that were cracked/past their useful life. -the deck for the driving range that you hit off is in desperate need of some TLC. The first bay I hit out of’s floor boards were so loose that it made that bay close to unusable. Tried moving to another which was better than the first but still had a similar problem -don’t really care too much about this one but I guess worth noting the parking lot is in pretty rough shape. All in all I like going here, I just think price wise (atleast for the driving range) they’re a little on the higher end esp when you consider that pretty much everything there is in need of some form of maintenance/tlc.

Place is a dump. Trash everywhere. Multiple people waiting 10+ minutes for a bucket. Charging $20 for a large is robbery. Won’t be back.

My kids love mini golf but this place has gone down over the last couple years. None of the holes are numbered, all the holes greens are falling a part. Weeds everywhere and bushes growing over parts of every hole. Holes themselves are either broken, chipped or all the felt is gone. Fountain not working and run down . Every hole is run done. No scorecards for the course. Please update the mini golf Course!!!
