Island Golf Mini Golf

Fantastic golf course… but both river island courses have been resurfaced since the last time I played here, and there is NO FRICTION. The balls bounce around forever. Extremely disappointing to pay so much for mini golf and feel like it’s mini golfing on an ice rink. Do better.

The music was great! Wonder why I'm starting with the music? Well, the golfing was horrid. If you see multiple clubs dropped down these rain man- hole covers, which there were about 15, it might be a sign of how much pain this course inflicts. Another positive? Ok, I'll say reading the reviews while waiting for the next disaster(hole) to start. It was also fun trying to come up with new ways to try making it fun. Blindfold? One handed? Lefty? Two play at same time? All are worth a shot. There is even a hole where they must feel bad for the torture inflicted so far. It has a crater to drop the ball in if you're inside 3 feet. Nope. I didn't make that one in under 10 either. When your ball can come back to the tee off after hitting it because the surface is zero friction, or worse, keep rolling for 60 seconds to find the low spot behind a beautiful flat bolder, you have many better options elsewhere. Again, loved the music! Rock on Peter Gabriel! Sledgehammer!

Incredible course ruined completely and thoroughly by the most terrible playing surface. A rubber pad makes up the ground of the holes. Ball will roll for an eternity, change directions and roll some more. Please do not go here.

The worst mini golf course I’ve ever been to. Unplayable and poorly kept. The fact that this is something that people have to pay for is pathetic.

This place is so bad, that it’s laughable. They covered everything in something like polyurethane. What they put on an outdoor track. You tap the ball and it goes flying. Save your money.

Need to install astro-turf asap. It is impossible to play here on the rubber turf, the ball never stops rolling. Clearly whoever installed this never tested it.

One star is 2 too many. It’s not turf/grass but rubber playground material. No ball control it just bounces all over, not even remotely fun.

If I could give it negative stars I would. This course was unimaginably frustrating. It was absurd how frictionless the ground was. My dad no joke hit a ball near the hole and it came to rest for a millisecond, rolled the complete opposite way and went in the hole. You either need to sell your soul to the mini golf gods to do well on this course or have the luck of a leprechaun. I so hope that people don’t waste their money here. The mini golf on Irlo Bronson is way better. I’ll never mini golf here again until they change the turf.
