We moved to Frederick from Upstate NY in 2016. Back in NY there were a lot of mini-golf courses and my wife and I, with friends and family really enjoyed playing so we were disappointed not to find any courses convenient to our new home. Flash forward to 2025 and on a whim I did another Google search and was thrilled to find Adkins Mini Golf only 25 minutes from home. We took our 14 year old grandson there today and had a great time. The only drawback was the 90+ degree heat but even with that, there were some shady spots on the 24 hole course. The facility is attractively laid out and very well maintained. On 2 occasions, we saw staff with leaf blowers clearing debris from the holes! When we went into the main building at the end of the game, hot and thirsty, we had the pleasant surprise of finding sodas and bottled water at a dollar apice. A nice, non-greedy policy. We will be back for sure!

This is a well maintained and beautiful mini golf course! The grounds are beautifully decorated with a pond & gazebo, stone walkways, old fashioned lantern style light posts, and a huge variety of plants/trees/bushes. You can play the 19 hole or 24 hole option, which was competitive, but neither too hard or too easy. The office has a restroom, a few machine games, ice cream bars, a drink cooler, and snacks. They even offer free bug spray if needed, which is kind. If you come in the evening, please get the glow balls - they are so neat. This was a fun course and we’d definitely come back!

My fam and I went here, 30 minutes away from where we live, and we really enjoyed our time there! Having played some 12+ courses out in Ocean City, MD, I can say these courses certainly feel more like they had an independent builder's touch. I mean that in a very good way, too. Incredibly unique, thought out and made with care you could tell. We played the more challenging 19 hole course, but they have another one with even more holes that is easier and circles the 19 hole course. And for the challenge, you get the extra reward of an awesome view about half way through where you can look down on every hole in the entire two courses surrounding you. Awesome! There's some slight tatter in a couple places here and there, but it's very well maintained and didn't feel like it got in the way. One of the workers was walking the courses with a leaf blower getting any debris out of the way since it is in the middle of a forest. I wouldn't pay much mind to the 1 star review. We went there around 6:30 and didn't have problems with bugs. We bought ice cream on the way out and the spoon they gave me was this flattened shaped piece of wood which worked, but it looked like eating with a tongue depresser. It worked and I found it more funny than anything, but that'd be the only thing I'd change about my experience. Maybe also a system for repairing the green on the holes that need it through each year if they don't already have that. It was in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed ourselves and will probably come back in the future! Highly recommended!

Such a cute golf course that we found by accident. We are in town for a softball tournament and were diverted off 70 and passed by the course. Came back after our games and had a great time. The owners should consider contacting the softball associations who sponsor tournaments and advertise. I’m sure out of town teams would love to spend time here :)

In desperate need of a face-lift. The course is in horrible shape. Other than triming the bushes back, it looks untouched in 20 years. Staff was very friendly though. So that's a plus. In response to the comment left by the owners- I was there the afternoon of June 14th. I played the 24-hole course. It was in bad shape. The staff was friendly. I review what I experience. If you've fixed the course, good on ya. If I ever find myself there again, I'll re-review.

Took my elderly dad; waited until 730 due to temperatures along with choosing the simplest course due to there being no stairs in the terrain being easier. This course was 24 holes opposed to 19. The first complaint is a few greens being in bad shape and needing to be replaced, but I was there for the fun and conversation with my dad Daughter and Son-in-law) so no worries. My major complaint is 10 minutes before closing. The Young man came out to inform us that they were closing in 10 minutes to give us heads up. We were only on #13. We kept playing and then all of a sudden at 9 p.m., the lights were shut off. I am an understanding person, but I felt like we were disregarded in a few ways with our trip. Suggestions are to fix the greens that are in really bad shape and be more open-minded to the time, 15 minutes past closing would not have really taken away much from two young people being the workers whereas a family enjoying themselves with their dad / grandfather in his 80s our cherished moments.

Just found out about this place through a Father’s Day promotion on Facebook: Dads play free! The clubhouse was clean and organized and the staff was helpful getting us on our way. My son (7) and I opted to play the 19-hole “Hard” course. It was a good challenge with lots of levels and pipes, including a false hole!! They’re just becoming operational so there is still some maintenance to be done on the property. But they’ve clearly put in a lot of work to make the course interesting. We will definitely be back to play the other side, a 24-hole “Easy” course.
