All reviewsMy wife and I went mini golfing at Family Golf Park last night (Saturday 31Aug2019). Overall we had a fun time. The staff was friendly and professional. For the two of us, we paid sixteen dollars total for eighteen holes of mini golf. We played the course on the left hand side as you approach the greens. Each hole had a unique layout and different obstacles. The grounds were well maintained but some of trees and bushes need to be trimmed a little. The downside; this course is in need of much love. Most of the holes need new grass. They have done some patch work on the greens, which adds another degree of difficulty because you have no idea how the ball is going to react ones it hits the ledge upon transitioning on and off the patch work.
This is a nice, family-run place. They have really reasonable prices and some fun, if somewhat dated, mini golf courses. The driving range is good and buckets of balls aren't very expensive. Overall this place is a good value and never so busy that you'd worry about it be crowded. Free ice cream with the mini golf was a nice treat for the family!
So the staff was nice and courteous. We chose the course on the left but the course it self was run down and dilapidated. There were times the green was badly patched on nearly every whole and caused the ball to do abnormal things. Our group was frustrated with that alone. The have quite a bit of overhanging plants onto the course and someone in our group was allergic to them. The edges of the holes are worn and need replaced. A couple of the key features were falling apart or leaning, made the hole difficult to play. The water is stagnant and causes mosquitos. Some of the course is badly if at all light for evening play. We went in when complete and the arcade is closed they are selling everything. Glad we made fun of the course while playing it made it more enjoyable. When we went in we saw free mosquito repellent for players and the whole inside smelled like sewage. I felt bad for the employees. We ended up having fun but due to quality of the course gave it a low star. We almost didnt go because google listed different hours. We got there and it was 10 to 8 for a Saturday we got there at 6:30 and finished just a bit near 8. We visited the park on August 24, 2019.
the people here were so nice we would want to return. But, sadly, the course is in such disrepair it looks like it should be torn down. If you can't replace the green add a few things and up the price I don't think it's worth having. Also I think it would be nice to have those bumper boats back for a try. We were just really sad it was in such disrepair. It has the potential to be very pretty. It's not Cool Crest with its monuments but it's still would be a nice place.
Was probably great mini golf back in the day, but isn't being maintained. :( Still, price is good.
